The London Natural History Society Library is located in the Angela Marmont Centre at the the Natural History Museum. Our library is available for reference by both members of the LNHS and the general public; books can be borrowed by LNHS members. There is shelving space for about half of the collection, and so we have put all the books on the open shelves, together with a selection of periodicals. Complete runs of the Society's own periodicals (The London Naturalist and London Bird Report) are available for reference.

We have basic arrangements for lending books to members, and any member who needs to borrow a specific work should contact the Librarian at library@lnhs.org.uk. You can consult an online spreadsheet of the library holdings to search for individual works. If you wish to consult a specific work then contact the Librarian.

The Angela Marmont Centre offers a drop-in enquiry service from Monday to Friday, 10.00 – 17.30, when an enquiry officer will be on duty and the LNHS Library will be accessible. The centre is also open on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month (the second after bank holidays), 10.00 - 17.30, when the Library will also be accessible; see the centre Home Page for more details. You can also book a visit at other times, on-line through Booking, by telephone on  020 7942 5045, or by e-mail to amc-enquiries@nhm.ac.uk.
